Could the Election be Rigged?

The Jefferson County Beer Party thinks there could be some quirks that might be considered improprieties in the coming presidential election, but whether or not this election could be rigged is anyone’s guess.  Still, the following was received in the JCBP email this week and bears consideration.  Although the author claims the following is true according to Wikipedia (he/she doesn’t trust Snopes.com), I’m still taking much of this with a huge grain of salt.

***** *** *****

Try this on for size. Scares the bejeebers out of me.  No wonder DJT questions “rigged” outcome.
  • George Soros has a buddy who serves as a director on one of his boards.
  • The buddy is an English Lord who bought a voting machine company called Smartmatic.
  • Soros has a lot of influence over the Smartmatic business.
  • Soros has donated at least $25 million to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
  • The foreign owned Smartmatic company has furnished its voting machines in Venezuela, the Philippines, and Mexico, among other countries.
  • Venezuelan elections using Smartmatic machines were heavily rigged.
  • The Philippines and Mexico had disastrous failures with the machines with large percentages of votes going uncounted or unreported.
  • The Mexican state of Tabasco has sued Smartmatic.
  • Smartmatic was founded in Venezuela but is now banned there.
  • Smartmatic machines were used in Chicago elections in 2006, and a disaster ensued.
  • Then Smartmatic flew Venezuelans to Chicago to try to fix the problems, violating labor laws and several other laws in the process.
  • But SOMEHOW smartmatic has voting machines in 16 US states.
  • Against Bernie Sanders, Clinton had an edge eight points better in areas with Smartmatic machines.  Pretty cool, eh?
  •  Oh, yes! Smartmatic has also contributed to Hillary Clinton’s election campaign.
I guess it’s nice to have friends like Soros.  But how many Americans know or care about this?
Bill Bonner has a saying that people do not get what they want but what they deserve.  American people say they want good, honest government, jobs, low taxes, good schools, good roads, etc.  A high percentage of them just want free stuff.  But what do they deserve?
Ever since he first entered this election, Donald Trump has been saying that it has been rigged against him in Hillary Clinton’s favor. The mainstream media has tried to make Trump look crazy for saying this, but what was just revealed about 16 states has proven that he was actually right all along.
Once again, the always-corrupt Clinton is blatantly breaking the rules in order to steal power for herself.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be.
  • We’ve just learned that Hillary is tied to the one company that has the power to sway this entire election – Smartmatic.
  • Smartmatic manufactures the voting machines that will be used this November.
  • Yes, George Soros, the billionaire CROOK who is one of Hillary’s biggest donors.
District of Columbia
New Jersey

HILLARY IS TRYING TO RIG THIS ELECTION BECAUSE SHE KNOWS IT’S THE ONLY CHANCE SHE HAS!  In the states that used these voting machines, Hillary improved BY A WHOPPING 9 PERCENT. Conversely, in states that didn’t use these machines she only won by 1 percent.  The fix is in, folks!
These machines are just like any other machine; they’ll do whatever they are programmed to do; this gives the manufacturers some AWESOME power. These machines can be programmed to cast your vote for Hillary, regardless of which candidate you actually select.

  1. I can’t speak to the veracity of information in the rest of this post, but saying Smartmatic has machines in use in Oregon and Washington is flat-out false. Both those states (I live in WA) are vote by mail ONLY. No polling places, no machines, a perfect paper trail, and the ballots are hand-counted and certified by the county Auditor’s offices. We sign and date our ballots and must provide a phone number. The signatures are checked against registration forms, which had to have been applied for in person. The only way to cheat is by impersonating someone else using forged ID documents, both at registration and when filling out the ballot. That’s expensive to do, pretty easy to catch, and the few instances (about five or so per year) where fraud was committed have been invalidated after post-election physical examination of the paper ballots.

    • JCBP says:

Please try to understand that I receive emails like that from which the content of this piece was published all the time. I published it more out of sarcasm than I did as being factual, so your response really doesn’t surprise me much at all. What content like this demonstrates is that if someone looks hard enough on the Internet, they will surely find something that agrees with their point of view and therefore “justifies” it. Making matters even more serious are the number of people who believe each and every word they read in social media. My gosh, how gullible can people be? No, don’t answer that; I really don’t want to know.

      • Yeah, I get it. People want to believe what they want to believe, and are typically too lazy to check, though fact-checking is easy to do. I’m no longer surprised by our national level of ignorance. I think there ought to be an index for it on news broadcasts, right there with the stock market numbers.
